Police said the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force has been notified.

The NYPD hasn’t yet released footage of a potential suspect.

The vandalism comes as Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. It also comes amid escalating conflict between Israel and Palestinians.
