NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A Brooklyn smoke shop employee was beaten by a pair of hammer-wielding robbers who stole CBD and cash from him, police said Tuesday.
The NYPD released video showing part of the robbery inside Hubble Bubble smoke shop at Avenue P and E. 4th Street in Gravesend last Thursday morning.
The robbers entered the store and grabbed a hammer from behind the counter around 11 a.m., threatening employees while demanding CBD products, police said.


During the confrontation, they repeatedly punched a 30-year-old worker in the face and body, according to police.
They stole $150 in cash and CBD products worth $800 before fleeing on a two-wheeled vehicle, police said.
They were last seen headed eastbound on Avenue P and then southbound on East 4th Street.
The victim suffered pain and bruising from the beating. He was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island, where he was in stable condition.
