NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 49-year-old Brooklyn woman is in stable condition after she was repeatedly shot by a neighbor following an ongoing dispute, according to sources.
The shooting occurred around 8:45 a.m. at 399 St. John's Pl. in Prospect Heights.
The victim was shot in the arm and leg Tuesday morning, police confirmed. She was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
The suspected shooter, who is believed to be a neighbor, fled to an apartment in the same building.
Upon arrival, officers did not find the suspect. Police are investigating the possibility that the neighbor may have escaped via a fire escape.
The investigation is ongoing.
