NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Bronx rapper has been arrested in connection to a stunt that completely halted traffic on the Kosciuszko Bridge back in November.

Chucky73, 23, whose real name is Adel Reyes-Mejia, was charged with reckless endangerment, unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct in connection to the viral social media stunt.
It all happened back on Nov. 14 during rush hour traffic at 6 p.m., when a group of men jumped out of their vehicles and filmed themselves rapping along to music on the Queens-bound side of the bridge.
The men and their cars totally blocked traffic on the bridge, did doughnuts in their vehicles on the bridge, which connects Brooklyn and Queens, and drew swift backlash from area officials.
Then-Mayor-elect Eric Adams responded, saying, “Incidents like this damage our brand as a city, disrespect New Yorkers and endanger visitors and residents alike.”
Then-NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea reacted in November saying, “There’s no shortage of idiots these days and blocking a bridge and the inconvenience and the potential danger it can cause to me is reckless at the minimum.”
Chucky73’s management posted to his Instagram page Tuesday, saying that any committments he had in the coming days would be moved for legal reasons.
Beyond the attention the stunt brought, however annoying to commuters, Chucky73's NYC Latin rap has grabbed ears as well -- his most popular song on Spotify has garnered 30 million streams.
It was the second arrest in connection to the bridge party — cops arrested Jose Ortega, 35, of Manhattan, on Dec. 27 on reckless endangerment charges.
