VIDEO: 3 bystanders injured in shooting outside Washington Heights bodega

NEW YORK (1010 WINS NEWS) -- Police released surveillance footage on Sunday of a shooting that occurred outside of a bodega in Washington Heights over the weekend where three bystanders were wounded.

The confrontation happened on Saturday at approximately 11:10 p.m. at the Marte Grocery located at 362 Audubon Avenue.

According to officials, three men first followed another man inside the bodega while a fourth man went behind the counter while a store employee crouched in fear, the video footage shows.

The incident between the group of men then spilled outside where gunfire was exchanged and three bystanders -- two women and an elderly man were struck.

A 42-year-old victim was struck in her left arm and was transported in stable condition by EMS to Columbia Presbyterian hospital.

A 58-year-old woman was hit in her buttocks and was transported in stable condition NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem.

The third victim, a 78-year-old man was wounded in his left arm and abdomen.

He was transported in stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, according to the NYPD.
