NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was pulled off the tracks at a Harlem subway station earlier this week by a group of bystanders, after being shoved by an unknown suspect following a dispute, police said.
The 40-year-old victim was on a southbound platform at the 125th Street station at about 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday when police said he was approached by the suspect.
The suspect engaged the victim in an argument before pushing him onto the tracks and fleeing on a southbound 3 train, authorities said.
Good Samaritans who witnessed the scene pulled the victim up to safety, officials said. He suffered minor injuries and was taken by medics to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.
Police released surveillance footage of the man Thursday night in the hope someone recognizes him. The investigation is ongoing.
