NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A carjacker who stole a vehicle in the Bronx Monday night with a baby inside is being sought by police, authorities said.
Just after 5:30 p.m. in front of 3969 Bronxwood Avenue in the Wakefield section, a thief hopped in a blue Toyota Highlander that was parked and left running, cops said.
A 1-year-old girl was in the backseat of the car when the suspect drove off.
The car and child were found about 30 minutes later in front of 1806 East Gun Hill Road a few miles away.
The girl was not harmed during the ordeal. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
