Baby found safe after car stolen with newborn inside in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —  A newborn baby was found safe after an SUV was stolen with the infant inside in the Bronx Thursday, according to police.

The Purple Honda HR-V was stolen near the intersection of White Plains Road and East 230th Street in Wakefield just before 5 p.m., officials said

The infant was in the back seat of the car when it was stolen.

The NYPD Tweeted that the baby was recovered at 6:06 p.m.

Police have not yet specified details about how the car was stolen.
