Celeb chef Todd English opening food hall in former J&R Music space on Park Row

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Celeb chef Todd English is reportedly set to open up a sprawling new food hall at the site of a once-iconic Financial District electronics retailer.

An investment group backing English has signed a new lease for a 20,000 square foot space on two levels at 15 Park Row — the space formerly occupied by J&R Music Space, sources told The New York Post.

English, who has created a handful of restaurants around New York City, including his temporarily-shuttered food hall location at the Plaza Hotel.

Along with global eateries, the 61-year-old recently opened a hotel in Las Vegas and announced the opening of a new food hall location in Stamford, Connecticut.

A source told The Post that the Meridian Retail Leasing team was asking for a $2.5 million year-lease.

Meridian President James Famularo declined to respond to the outlet's request for comment.
