The 48-year-old woman was riding a Queens-bound J train at the Cypress Hills station around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when the man told her, "Hey, you cute."

He then started staring at her, so she moved to another train car, police said.

But the man followed her and sat directly in front of her, staring right at her, according to cops.

She continued to ride the train to Queens and got off at the Jamaica-Parsons/Archer stop.

She left the transit system—but the man continued to follow her through the streets, police said.

Video shows him chasing her—literally sprinting down a street after her—as she runs away.

He chased her into a building, where the two of them got into an altercation, police said. He ultimately fled the building on foot.

The woman was not physically injured in the ordeal, cops said.

The suspect is believed to be in his early 20s, according to the NYPD.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
