NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A construction worker at LaGuardia Airport’s new Delta terminal was saved by his security harness after falling several feet from a third-floor landing Thursday, officials said.

According to the Daily News, at about 10 a.m., the construction worker fell about 10 feet before the harness suddenly stopped his descent, leaving him dangling by the second floor.

The worker suffered a cut on his head caused by the harness. He was lowered onto the ground before first responders arrived, the report adds.

He was not seriously injured and taken to Elmhurst Hospital for evaluation, officials said.
