NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man tried to lure a girl into his truck in the Bronx this week, police said Friday as they released images of the vehicle in a search for him.
The 14-year-old girl was walking in the area of Lawton Avenue and E. Tremont Avenue in Throgs Neck at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday when the man drove up in a large, white box truck.
He got out of the truck while “making gestures and comments” at the girl in an attempt to lure her into the truck, police said.
The girl ran away, and the man fled in the truck.
No injuries were reported in the attempted child luring, police said.
Police believe the suspect is in his 30s. No additional description was released.
