NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A taxi driver was assaulted while working in Queens last week, and police on Monday released photos of a suspect sought in connection to the crime.
It happened when the 72-year-old cabbie was driving at 10th Street and 36th Avenue in Astoria just after 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Police said that a man punched the driver in the back of the head, then fled to parts unknown.
The victim was minorly injured, and taken to Mount Sinai Queens by medics for treatment, officials said.
