NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for suspects after two men were stabbed and slashed in separate assaults in Manhattan on Tuesday.
A 37-year-old man was slashed in the head at the E and M lines' 5th Avenue-53rd Street station in Midtown just before 4 p.m.
The attacker fled down Sixth Avenue, police said.
The victim was treated for minor injuries.
It's unclear what motivated the assault.
Hours later, another attacker stabbed a man in the torso in Washington Heights.
It happened around 9:20 p.m. at 184th Street and Wadsworth Avenue.
That victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.
Police believe the suspect may have fled on the 1 train at the 181st Street station.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Police haven't yet released descriptions of the suspects as the investigations continue.
