NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman was followed into a Brooklyn subway station and attacked by a ranting woman who punched her and pulled her by the hair, police said Friday.

The NYPD also released images of the suspect they're searching for in the unprovoked assault in East Flatbush on Sept. 8.

The 25-year-old victim was talking on her phone at Beverley Road and Nostrand Avenue at 7:40 p.m. that Friday evening when a woman wandered up and started yelling at her, police said.

The victim sought refuge in the nearby Beverly Road 2/5 station, but the woman followed her into the subway and attacked her, according to cops.

She punched the victim and yanked her by the hair before fleeing on foot, police said.

The victim was not seriously injured in the attack, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
