McNally, the man behind several notable New York City eateries including Balthazaar, posted on Instagram the text of a dinner note from Balthazar’s manager Zouheir.

“Several happy comments about the food and service from different guests,” the July 1st note read after mentioning an incident of an intoxicated woman who needed to be cut off.

“We had one alleged report of a couple having sex in one of the men’s stall downstairs but when I asked floor manager Greg to rush down and check what’s going on the couple were nowhere to be found so they remained a mystery,” the note continued.

Though the manager did not find the frisky couple in the bathroom, he did find a wedding ring on the floor, according to the note.

The ring was brought to lost and found and the couple evaded scrutiny.
