VIDEO: Couple who burglarized Queens furniture store, stole $40K wanted by police


NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is looking to identify a man and a woman they said burglarized a Queens furniture store, taking $40,000 with them last week.

Just after 10 p.m on Tuesday, September 21, the man entered the New Happy Home Furniture Store located at 43-02 Main Street in Flushing, while the woman acted as a lookout, officials said.

According to police, the male suspect forcibly broke the lock to the rear door to gain entry and once inside, he removed approximately $40,000 from the desk.

The couple then fled on foot to parts unknown, authorities said.

The suspects are described as a male and female, approximately 18 to 20 years of age.

Police on Wednesday released surveillance video obtained from the incident location after the incident.
