Crashed MTA bus dangles off ledge near Henry Hudson Parkway in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A crash in the Bronx on Friday morning left an MTA bus dangling off a ledge near the Henry Hudson Parkway.

The bus crashed just after 8:30 a.m. on Henry Hudson Parkway West, at a sharp turn after Exit 18 from the southbound Henry Hudson Parkway in Riverdale.

The BxM1 bus smashed through a guardrail near an overpass and was left hanging precipitously over Kappock Street, near Independence Avenue, Citizen App video shows. Debris was scattered on the roadway below.

No customers were aboard the bus at the time, the MTA said.

No injuries were reported. The bus operator was removed from the bus by the FDNY and is OK, according to the MTA.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
