NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD arrested a 20-year-old woman on Wednesday for allegedly stabbing her father to death in her Brooklyn residence Tuesday night, sources told 1010 WINS.

Josephine Santiago is charged with second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said. Sources told 1010 WINS that Santiago is the daughter of 41-year-old victim Jose Acevedo.

Just before 9 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at 12 De Sales Pl. in Bushwick, which officials listed as Santiago's home address.

Officers arrived and discovered Acevedo unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds to the chest and back, authorities said. EMS transported him to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Sources said that the stabbing occurred when a verbal argument between Acevedo and his daughter escalated. It was not immediately clear what the fight was about.

The two did not live together, and police listed Acevedo's address as a building in Harlem.

The investigation is ongoing.
