Dead man pulled from Harlem River, days after recovery of woman's body

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- The body of a man was pulled from the Harlem River on Sunday, two days after a dead woman turned up in the East River, police said.

The man's body was seen floating face-down near East 106th Street in East Harlem around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

He was removed by the NYPD Harbor Unit and pronounced dead at the scene.

The discovery came just two days after a dead woman was pulled from the East River on Friday morning.

Her body was removed near East 23rd Street in Manhattan just before 11 a.m. Friday.

Neither of them has been identified. The medical examiner is working to determine their causes of death.

The NYPD wouldn't confirm any connection between the two bodies as the investigations continue.
