NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police discovered the decomposing bodies of a woman and boy inside a Brooklyn apartment Wednesday afternoon.
At about 2:05 p.m., officers were called to an apartment on Dumont Avenue in East New York over reports of a foul odor, authorities said.
Upon arrival, officials found the unresponsive 7-year-old boy and 33-year-old woman in a bedroom. They were both pronounced dead on the scene.
It wasn’t immediately clear if they were mother and child, cops said.
There were no signs of forced entry or signs of trauma on their bodies, according to officials.
The cause of death of the victims will be determined by the city Medical Examiner.
An investigation remains ongoing.
