According to a criminal complaint, Dr. Michael Hilton was arrested in December 2017 for allegedly having oral sex with a 16-year-old boy. The then 33-year-old was an attending physician and medical director for EMS and disaster preparedness at the Mount Sinai Health System, according to his Linkedin account.

In 2019, Hilton pleaded guilty to the charges — one count of a criminal sex act and one count of endangering the welfare of a child — and was required to enter sex offender therapy, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Hilton completed the terms of his plea agreement on March 25, 2021, the DA’s office said, at which the criminal sex act charge was dismissed. Hilton was also sentenced to three years probation for endangering the welfare of a child.

It wasn’t until Jan. 19 that the state Department of Health’s Office of Medical Professional Conduct issued a charge of misconduct against Hilton and the doctor now faces the possibility of having his medical license taken away.

Hilton’s online resume lists his current role as the assistant medical director of Sollis Health, a concierge medical startup company.
