NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An 86-year-old driver suffered a medical emergency and reversed into three people in Coney Island on Wednesday afternoon, killing a woman and injuring two others, according to police and sources.

The man backed his red Chrysler minivan into the pedestrians as they were walking on the sidewalk of a commercial strip at 535 Neptune Ave., according to cops.

Sources told 1010 WINS the man apparently had a stroke before the accident.

An 89-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Two other women, ages 75 and 43, were injured but expected to survive.

Citizen App video shows the red minivan up on the sidewalk and surrounded by police tape.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the driver and the pedestrians know each other.

The driver remained at the scene and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues, police said.
