NEW YORK (1010WINS) -- Police arrested a driver that fatally struck a 62-year-old woman crossing a street in Brooklyn Sunday night.
According to officials, the driver of a Hyundai Sonata struck Alina Morales on Atlantic Avenue near Nevins Street in Boerum Hill at about 7:45 p.m.
EMS transported Morales to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she was declared dead.
The driver, a 49-year-old man, remained on scene and was arrested later Sunday night.
Charges against him are pending, police said.
