NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A driver is in custody after striking two people then crashing into a parked vehicle and a residential building in Queens Sunday night.
At about 8:10 p.m., a 71-year-old man and 14-year-old girl were struck on 101-14 Martense Ave. in Corona, officials said.
Police believe the driver of a white Honda Accord was speeding down 102nd Street when he apparently lost control before crashing.
One victim was taken to Booth Memorial Hospital and the other to Long Island Jewish. Both are in stable condition.
The driver was taken into custody and his charges are pending.
The investigation remains ongoing.
