NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for two people who fled a traffic stop in a Lamborghini before crashing the car in Queens early Friday.
Police said officers stopped the 2010 Lamborghini at 37th Avenue and 21st Street in Astoria because the vehicle had a plastic frame that was obstructing the license plate.
But the traffic stop went bad and the driver sped off down 38th Avenue, police said.
The driver eventually lost control of the Lamborghini and crashed at 29th Street, according to police.

The driver and his passenger then got out of the car and ran off on foot, police said.
The NYPD was still searching for the two of them on Friday.
Police are investigating if the car was stolen before the crash.
