NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two suspects after a man was stabbed in the back on a subway car in East Harlem on Tuesday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
The 29-year-old victim was aboard a southbound 4 train at about 1:15 p.m. when he became engaged in a verbal dispute with two strangers, authorities said.
As the train approached the 125th Street station, a physical altercation broke out, and the victim was stabbed once in the back with an unknown sharp object.
The two attackers fled in an unknown direction, and medics transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. He is in stable condition.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
