NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Monday released photos of two women wanted for stealing from a Chinese buffet in the Bronx last month then beating a man who intervened.
It happened at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Monday, July 28, inside of the Merry Land Buffet located at 505 East 163rd St. in Morrisania.
According to officials, two suspects removed items and attempted to exit without paying.
When the suspects were approached by a 44-year-old man, they punched him multiple times in the head causing pain and swelling, authorities said.
The suspects then fled the location on foot to parts unknown.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.
