Duo steals over $22K in Apple products from Staten Island Mall delivery truck

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two men wanted for sneaking onto a delivery truck at the Staten Island Mall earlier this month and making off with tens of thousands of dollars in tech devices.

At about 9:50 a.m. on March 4, the two suspects entered the loading dock at the Staten Island Mall on Richmond Avenue in New Springville ans gained entry to the back of a delivery truck, police said.

The men snatched an assortment of packaged Apple products, including iPhones, Airpods, cases, chargers and power adapters. Officials said these goods were valued at approximately $22,956.

The suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspects on Thursday to aid their investigation. The first suspect sought was last seen in a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a black vest, while the other was clad in a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.

There were no injuries in connection to the incident.

The Apple Store in the Staten Island Mall is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
