NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- An 82-year-old woman was punched, body slammed and stomped on during an apparently unprovoked attack in the Bronx, police said Friday.

The NYPD released images of two suspects wanted for the vicious assault last Friday evening in the Olinville section.

The victim was in the area of East 212th Street and White Plains Road, right by the Gun Hill Road subway station, around 7 p.m. when a man and woman attacked her, police said.

The pair punched her throughout the body, then slammed her body to the ground and stomped on her, according to police.

They fled eastbound on East 212th Street before EMS arrived and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where she was in stable condition.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
