NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 20-year-old man was killed when a careless driver opened her car door while he was riding an e-bike past her vehicle in Queens’ Jamaica Hills neighborhood Friday, according to police.

Azizbek Soliev was biking southbound on 164th Street approaching Chapin Parkway when a 60-year-old woman opened the door of her 2022 Mercedes Benz GLE350 SUV, striking him and sending him careening into the street, according to officials.

A 35-year-old man driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee then hit Soliev, causing severe injuries to his head and torso, authorities said.

EMS rushed him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Both drivers remained on the scene, and police did not immediately file charges.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
