NEW YORK (BLOOMBERG) -- The New York author who won a civil sexual-abuse suit against Donald Trump earlier this month is seeking court permission to amend an earlier defamation lawsuit against the former president to add comments he made about her on a recent CNN town hall.

E. Jean Carroll, who claims Trump assaulted her in a dressing room more than two decades ago, on Monday asked a judge to let her add more details to a 2019 suit in which she says Trump defamed her by calling her a liar from the White House.
