The 49-year-old East Harlem man, Luis Acevedo, pleaded guilty to having the seven loaded guns and two assault weapons along with more than an eighth of cocaine with intentions to sell, officials said.
A search of Acevedo’s apartment found the guns as well as the drugs with digital scales and other drug paraphernalia in small baggies.
“Luis Acevedo contributed to the proliferation of illegal guns and drug trade by having these dangerous weapons and controlled substances,” Bragg said. “Today, we are ensuring accountability and will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to identify and root out this activity.”
Along with five years in prison, Acevedo was given five years of post-release supervision.
