NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Streets in Manhattan's East Village flooded following a water main break early Monday.
Emergency units were called just after 5:30 a.m. to a report of a water main break near East 7th Street and First Avenue where large amounts of water were seen flowing down the street and into the sidewalk.

Technicians from electric and gas companies responded to the scene.
The Department of Environmental Protection was also on scene to investigae the incident.
