Buffalo, NY (WBEN) ECMC reports its first coronavirus patient.
ECMC says the patient is an ECMC employee, who was met outside the ECMC emergency department and has been in isolation since Monday.
The employee, who is not a clinician, is in very good condition and is being discharged.
ECMC says the employee had previously chosen to wear a mask at work during flu season.
Hospital staff used all appropriate measures, says ECMC, including use of personal protective equipment.
