NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Madame Tussauds in Times Square announced Thursday that Elon Musk -- the billionaire CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX who will co-lead Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency -- has been immortalized in wax as the centerpiece of a new exhibit, The Space Room, set to open in the coming weeks.

“Elon Musk has forever changed the landscape of space exploration and technology, so it’s only fitting that he be immortalized in our new Space Room,” Madame Tussauds New York General Manager Tiago Mogadouro said in a statement.

The exhibit combines elements of space exploration and innovation in an immersive experience, according to the press release. Visitors will see Musk’s wax figure dressed in his signature style: a white shirt, navy blazer, blue jeans, and a black belt with a silver buckle.

The wax figure was unveiled at The Explorers Club on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The event, hosted by club president and former astronaut Richard Garriott, featured spacecraft models, memorabilia, and the reveal of Musk’s wax figure in The Clark Room.

“We welcome space and history enthusiasts alike to the new exhibit, where they can embark on a journey through time and space, walking alongside astronauts and other cultural pioneers," Mogadouro said.

The Space Room at Madame Tussauds will feature displays that highlight space exploration and innovation, showcasing figures like Musk, 53, alongside other cultural icons. The Madame Tussauds press release did not provide a specific date but stated that the exhibit is expected to open in the coming weeks.

Musk arrived on Capitol Hill on Thursday. He is expected to be joined by fellow entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy for closed-door meetings with legislators regarding President-elect Donald Trump’s plans to “dismantle” the federal government.

Trump has tapped Musk and Ramaswamy to lead the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The department will be tasked with firing federal workers, cutting government programs, and slashing federal regulations—key components of Trump’s “Save America” agenda as he prepares for a second term in the White House.
