NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The Empire State Building will shine in black and yellow on Thursday evening, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Wu-Tang Clan's influential debut album.
The album, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)," debuted on Nov. 9, 1993, less than a year after the group formed on Staten Island.
The hip-hop group's members, including RZA, GZA, Method Man, Masta Killa, Cappadonna, Ghostface Killah, U-God, and DJ Mathematics, will attended a ceremonial lighting event at the building's 86th floor observatory Thursday afternoon.
Wu-Tang Clan has made an impact on the music industry with seven gold and platinum albums released globally.
They are revered for hit tracks such as "C.R.E.A.M" and "Protect Ya Neck"."

The lighting serves as a tribute to the group's enduring legacy and influence.
