NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Mayor Eric Adams will stand trial on corruption charges on Monday, April 21, 2025, federal judge Dale E. Ho announced at a hearing in Lower Manhattan Friday.

"I do think it’s important for the public to have an answer," on Adams' case ahead of the primary, Ho said, acknowledging that Adams plans to run for reelection in a competitive race with mayoral hopefuls. Among those planning to run are State Sen. Zellnor Myrie and Comptroller Brad Lander.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York in September secured a five-count corruption indictment against the mayor -- the first to be charged while in office. He pleaded not guilty.

Adams, 64, is accused of conspiring to funnel illegal contributions from Turkey into his campaign coffers.
