NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage of a man wanted for a violent home invasion at a Brooklyn home Sunday morning.

The happened at around 8:25 a.m. in the vicinity of East 92nd Street and Avenue J in Canarsie.

According to police, the suspect posed as a delivery driver and knocked on the door of the residence. When the occupants—a 36-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man—opened the door, the suspect forcibly entered the home and demanded money.

During the confrontation, the intruder displayed a firearm and struck the 29-year-old man in the face. The suspect was unsuccessful in taking any property and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, officials said.

The male victim suffered a minor laceration and bruising from the assault. Emergency services responded to the scene, but he refused further medical attention.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
