Far Rockaway shooting leaves 35-year-old man dead

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 35-year-old man was killed in an overnight shooting in Far Rockaway, Queens, and police are searching for the gunman.

The victim was shot in the chest multiple times at about 3 a.m. in the rear of 1025 Beach 20th St., the location of a parking lot that runs along Beach 21st Street near Cornaga Avenue, police said.

He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Authorities did not immediately release the victim’s identity.

Police said that the motive in the killing is still under investigation and there is not yet a suspect.

There have been no arrests.
