NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An anti-abortion protester wearing an FDNY sweatshirt who taunted and shouted misogynist remarks at abortion rights supporters outside a church in NoLIta this past weekend, is not a member of the FDNY, the department confirmed Monday.
"A video circulating from a protest in Manhattan over the weekend shows an individual wearing a FDNY sweatshirt," Deputy Commissioner of Public Information Frank Dwyer said in a statement. "The individual in the video is not a member of the FDNY. The comments made do not represent the views of the FDNY. The matter is under investigation."

In the video, taken at the Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral on Mulberry Street in NoLIta, a man in an "America First" baseball cap and FDNY logo sweatshirt yells at abortion rights proponents, "I am the people! I am the people! The people have decided! The court has decided! You lose! ... Not your body, not your choice, your body is mine." The man, who has yet to be identified, is referring to the leak of a Supreme Court draft opinion suggesting the court would overturn Roe. v. Wade.
The video led to "FDNY" trending on Twitter Monday morning.
