FDNY EMT arrested for allegedly stealing credit card from patient

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An FDNY EMT was arrested in Queens after he allegedly stole a credit card from a patient, police said Wednesday.

Robert Marshall, 29, was arrested Tuesday evening while off duty in the 105th Precinct, which covers parts of eastern Queens.

Police said Marshall was caught on camera removing the credit card from a person he was transporting.

He then used the card to make an estimated $800 purchase, according to police.

He faces a charge of grand larceny.

The alleged incident happened on Aug. 8 as a woman was being taken to a Queens hospital, according to the Daily News.

An FDNY spokesperson told the outlet that Marshall has been suspended without pay for a month and that additional discipline will be decided following the outcome of the case.
