NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An FDNY firefighter was arrested for vandalizing and urinating on an Upper East Side sukkah ahead of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, police announced Friday.

Marty Party, 37, allegedly vandalized the temporary ritual structure on Oct. 8 a little after 1 a.m. near East 92nd Street and 2nd Avenue.

The vandal damaged the sukkah by kicking it and urinating inside the structure.

A sukkah is a structure built during Sukkot, a Jewish harvest festival that emphasizes hospitality. Because they are only erected for the duration of the holiday, they are not constructed to last and could be easily damaged.

Police charged Party with criminal mischief.
