NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880 NEWS) – A fire broke out at a synagogue in Forest Hills on Friday morning, officials said.
The FDNY arrived at the location, the Beth Gavriel Bukharian Jewish Center, around 9:30 a.m. and were still trying to control the flames before noon.
The top floor of the three-story synagogue, located on 108th Street between 66th Road and 67th Avenue, caught fire, FDNY officials told CBS.
The cause of the fire isn't yet known. According to its website, the center has been undergoing an expansion project.
No injuries have been reported.
