FAO Schwarz opening its doors to Airbnb for a one-night sleepover on Dec. 21 for only $25
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — If you've ever dreamed about spending the night at New York City's famed FAO Schwarz toy store now's your chance.
The toy store is being listed on Airbnb for a one-time, one-night only stay.
It will only be available to book for one New York City family of four all living under the same roof for just $25, plus taxes and fees.
Their host will be a real FAO Schwarz toy soldier, who will give guests a private tour of the two-story, 20,000-square foot toy wonderland when they arrive for their stay on Dec. 21. The toy soldier will follow coronavirus protocols and remain masked and socially distanced.
The stay also comes with a fancy feast at FAO Schweetz, a music lesson on the store's iconic giant dance-on piano, immortalized by Tom Hanks in the movie "Big," a Build-A-Bear workshop session, an immersive science experiment and a chance to build a remote-controlled car that can then be raced through the halls of the store.
Sleeping accommodations include a giant sleigh bed and bunk beds with a slide.
The family will also get to go on a shopping spree at the toy store, courtesy of Airbnb.
