NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A gang-related mass shooting at a Brooklyn lounge early Sunday morning was sparked by a fight by two gunmen who both died in the shoot-out, the NYPD said Monday.

The shooting took place at the Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Marvin St. Louis, 19, and Jamel Childs, 35, are said to have been two of the four suspected gunmen, and two of the three people who died.

Police said that the men talked inside the lounge, and then 10 minutes later, St. Louis opened fire on Childs. Two other gunmen and Childs returned fire.

Childs has eight prior arrests and is in the NYPD's criminal database as a member of Folk Nation, a gang that NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said "terrorizes Brooklyn and is responsible for at least a half a dozen shootings so far this year."

Amadou Diallo, 27, was also killed, and the NYPD said that he is believed to be an innocent bystander.

Initially it was believed that there were 10 other victims, but Mayor Eric Adams said that another man walked into a hospital on Monday seeking medical attention, bringing the total number of people shot to 14.
