NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities are investigating after a 13-year-old girl escaped an abduction by three men in ski masks in Queens while walking home from school Tuesday evening, officials said.
According to police, the teen was on her way home from Bushwick Leaders' High School just before 7 p.m., when she was grabbed as she walked south on George Street, near Cypress Avenue, in Ridgewood and was forced into a dark four-door sedan with tinted windows and an orange interior.
The teen was able to escape from the car about four blocks away at Myrtle and Seneca avenues and did not report any physical injuries, cops said.
According to the NYPD, the teen did not appear to know the abductors prior to the attempt.
Officials describe two of the suspects as having dark complexions and one with a light complexion.
An investigation is ongoing.
