NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD released media on Saturday of a man wanted in connection to the sexual assault and robbery of a 15-year-old girl in a Brooklyn subway station earlier this month.
On Feb. 9 at 9:39 p.m., police said that a 15-year-old girl was standing on the northbound platform at the Halsey Street subway station when a stranger approached her.
The stranger pushed the victim to the ground before he picked her up, forcibly kissed her and touched her intimate areas over her clothes.
Officials said that the suspect then snatched the 15-year-old's phone and fled the station.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the attack.
Police describe the suspect as a man, about 30-years-old and 5'8", with curly hair and facial hair. He was last seen in a black hooded jacket with stripes down the arms, black pants and light-colored sneakers.
