NEW YORK (1001 WINS) -- The NYPD on Tuesday released surveillance footage of a suspect wanted for slashing a teen girl across the face in an unprovoked attack on a Bronx street last week.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, a 16-year-old girl was walking on the sidewalk in front of 3777 White Plains Rd. in Olinville, when she was approached by the suspect, officials said.
The man then slashed the 16-year-old girl in the face, causing serious physical injury, according to police.
The teen was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in serious but stable condition.
The suspect fled on foot southbound on White Plains Road and then westbound on East 216th Street.
