NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 6-year-old girl is being credited with potentially saving her mother's life after the girl called 911 to report that her mom had been stabbed in a domestic dispute at her Brooklyn apartment on Sunday morning.
Police sources told the New York Post that the girl called 911 around 2 a.m. after her mom was stabbed at the home on Lincoln Place in Prospect Heights.
The 25-year-old mom was stabbed in the arm and chest of her living room before her 24-year-old boyfriend fled the apartment, the sources said.
The girl, who was with her 1-year-old sibling at the time, grabbed a phone and dialed 911, telling a dispatcher that someone tried to kill her mom, according to the sources.
"Luckily she acted like a grownup because she might have saved her mother's life," a source told the outlet.
The mom is expected to survive after being transported to New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
No arrests have been made, according to the report.
